The biography and writings of Armida Barelli in a 2008 book

Armida Barelli is a key figure in the Italian Church of the 20th century and will soon be beatified. Pope Francis has in fact authorised the promulgation of the decree concerning the miracle attributed to the intercession of the Venerable Servant of God Armida Barelli, of the Secular Third Order of St Francis.
Her life and various writings are present in a book published in 2008 entitled "«Mi canta nell’anima l’amore del Signore». Armida Barelli" edited by Maria Rosaria Del Genio. The volume belongs to the series Testi Mistici (Mystical Texts) and has a presentation by Cardinal Tomáš Špidlík in which Armida Barelli is remembered as a woman who "achieves a marvellous contemplative vision of everything that surrounds her" (page 7).
Armida Barelli's work still has marks visible today. Among the most significant undertakings are: the co-founding, together with Father Agostino Gemelli, of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart and the foundation of the Female Youth of Catholic Action.
