The difference between women and men and the new identity of women are two priority issues today, not only in the socio-cultural sphere, but also in the ecclesial community. This is discussed in the book entitled "Donna uomo. Identità e differenza", a book by Giorgia Salatiello, professor emeritus of the Faculty of Philosophy at the Pontifical Gregorian University, with a preface by Andrea Monda, editor of L'Osservatore Romano.
It is a text that collects the articles that appeared during 2019 on the cultural page of L'Osservatore Romano in which the author investigates the role and mission of women in the Church, grasped in their difference with men but also among themselves, in the light of theology and even before that of anthropology illuminated by the Gospel. Reflection on the difference within the female gender opens up to themes such as religious experience, inter-religious dialogue and fraternity, 'sorority', but also conscience, ethics and neuroscience, and finally addresses concrete topics such as the body, motherhood, pregnancy. Areas in which the richness of life and the concreteness of the human can burst forth in a unique and special way.
"Donna Uomo. Identità e differenza" is part of the Inspirations - Philosophy series.
