We like to suggest a good book to wish all our readers a good weekend. A text worth reading is "Giovanni XXIII. Il miracolo della bontà" by Gunnar Riebs, Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Slovakia for Belgium and Magistrate at the Court of Labour Appeal in Antwerp. This is the Italian edition of a series of significant testimonies on John XXIII enriched by a preface signed by Cardinal Angelo Comastri. Pages full of references and memories linked to the magisterium of Pope Roncalli: 'a simple man with a big heart and full of goodness! A man who had chosen as his life's motto two courageous words: obedience and peace!" (p. 9).
The book is part of the "Testimoni" series and traces the work of John XXIII, a great man, known by all as the good, simple, modest and affectionate Pope throughout his life. Among the contributors to the volume: Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, Cardinal Paul Poupard, Cardinal Francesco Marchisano (†), Cardinal Leo Jozef Sueneus (†), Cardinal Loris Francesco Capovilla (†), Msgr. Bruno Bernard Heim (†), Mgr Justo Mullor Garcia (†), Mgr Jan Van Cauwelaert (†), Mgr Jean Petrus Canisius van Lierde (†), Gunnar Riebs, Sr Caterina Capitani (†).
