“Atti degli apostoli. Il viaggio del Vangelo nel mondo. Lettura spirituale e pastorale” is the new volume by Jorge Mario Bergoglio - Pope Francis edited by Fr Gianfranco Venturi and published in co-edition by Libreria Editrice Vaticana - Edizioni San Paolo. It is a biblical book that recounts the journey of the Gospel in the world and shows the correspondence between the word of God and the Holy Spirit that inaugurates the time of evangelisation. The Acts of the Apostles can be considered as the continuation of the Gospel narrative and this "Gospel journey" is inspired by it. It takes on the characteristics of an "outgoing Gospel" that welcomes the whole world in its becoming with its beauty and its longing for salvation and, at the same time, with its contradictions and resistance to the Word.
“Atti degli apostoli” concludes a series of biblical texts commented on by Pope Francis edited by Gianfranco Venturi: “Matteo. Il Vangelo del compimento” published in 2016 for our LEV types; “Marco. Il Vangelo del segreto svelato. Lettura spirituale e pastorale” published in 2017 and “Luca. Il Vangelo del Padre misericordioso. Lettura spirituale e pastorale” published in 2019 both for Edizioni San Paolo; “Giovanni. Il Vangelo del discepolo che vide e credette. Lettura spirituale e pastorale”, published in 2020 in co-edition with LEV-Edizioni San Paolo, containing the reflections-contemplations developed by Pope Francis on the Fourth Gospel.
