Pretext, Context and Theology of the Redemption of the Captives at the Origin of the Trinitarian Order
The Order of the Most Holy Trinity and Prisoners was born in the medieval Church to express the concrete care towards Christians deprived of their freedom because of their faith in Christ. After a few words of presentation by Cardinal Braz de Aviz, this volume offers three studies: on biblical theology in the 12th century (I. Rojas Gálvez), on Trinitarian theology at the beginning of the Order (A.A. Fernández Serrano) and on the historical origins of the liberating mission of the Trinitarians (P. Aliaga Asensio). It is a book that will help the Trinitarian Family to reflect on its own origins and that highlights the need to remember those who are persecuted at a time, like ours, when the lack of religious freedom in the world increases.
