The book highlights some contents and aspects of the Christological perspective of Pope Francis taking as a starting point the Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Gaudium, which he himself presented as the programmatic document of his ministry, but without neglecting the other documents of his teaching and meaningful expressions of the activities carried out before his election as Bishop of Rome. The texts are not selected in order to focus our attention on the dogmatic value of the language and of the documents concerning Christ and His ministry, but they are chosen to grasp those themes which are so important for the Pontiff because of their connections and of their spiritual and pastoral implications. The aim of the study is to offer the reader a chance to appreciate the human depth and spiritual richness, nourished by a deep faith in Christ, of the Pontiff whose profession reveals effects of great importance for Christology and for his way to do theology.
