Carlos María Galli was born in Buenos Aires in 1957. He is a priest, a theologian, a full professor at the Faculty of Theology at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina (UCA), a dean of the PhD programme in Theology and a professor of Theology in Argentina. He served as president of the Argentine Theological Society and (1998-2007) and since 2007 he has worked with Cardinal Bergoglio to the drafting of the Document of Aparecida. He is correspondent of the Pontifical Academy of Theology and theological adviser of the Latin American Bishops’ Conference (CELAM).
