Piero Coda was born in Cafasse (Turin) in 1955. He is Dean of the Sophia University Institute (Loppiano – Figline and Incisa Valdarno), where he taught Theology and Trinitarian Ontology. He earned a degree in Philosophy from the Università degli Studi in Turin and in Theology from the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome and he has dedicated himself to the interdisciplinary and interreligious dialogue at an international level. He is a member of the International Theological Commission, of the International mixed Commission for theological Dialogue between Catholic Church and Orthodox Church, of the Pontifical Academy of Theology ( of which he was Prelate Secretary from 2003 to 2008), of the Italian Theological Association ( of which he was President from 2003 to 2011) and of the Committee of CEI for superior studies of Theology and Religious Sciences.
