The small vademecum of Cardinal Amato has now reached a second extended edition that gives a first light on the accurate canonical procedure, sanctioned by the Church to bring martyrs and confessors present all over the world to the honors of the altars. The edition is enriched by two "appendices: the first, dedicated to the listing of the various steps of a cause until the approval of the decree super virtutibus i super martyrio by the Holy Father; the second, consecrated to the procedure followed for the alleged miracles, necessary for the successful completion of the causes of beatification and canonization of both martyrs and confessors".
