Volume VIII of Joseph Ratzinger's Opera Omnia presents the numerous works and scattered writings of Pope Benedict XVI on ecclesiology and ecumenism. Their great number made it necessary to divide volume VIII into two volumes. The contributions are the fruit of half a century of scientific research and teaching. They are the expression of a living, future-oriented theology that - in a fruitful dialogue between faith and reason - makes God's revelation in Jesus Christ accessible in its significance for the Church and the world.
