In a dynamic and ever-changing world, increasingly characterised by the process of globalisation, the effort that theology, a discipline committed to combining Tradition and social reality, must make to think about the data of faith for today's man and woman is important. Providing an interesting and original contribution in this regard is the present work by Francesco Asti: a kind of manual of theology capable of helping the reader to be aware of the changing times. The author, Ordinary of Theology at the Pontifical Theological Faculty of Southern Italy, highlights the importance of faith in God and the precious role of the Spirit to walk all together, indicating a precise theological method to follow: the synodal method, in which the spirituality of the people emerges strongly. Asti therefore makes the effort to listen to the voices coming from 'below', with the intention of evangelising through a theology of holiness and fraternity, capable of warming hearts and proposing bonds of solidarity. The priority, therefore, is "that the whole People of God prepare to undertake 'with spirit' a new stage of evangelisation" (Pope Francis).
