For many, prison is an "unknown planet", but one inhabited by real people. In these pages, prisoners tell their stories frankly, sharing reflections written without "lying to themselves". The passages present are areas populated by memories and considerations, which seem to have been "distilled" through a long and often painful self-critical journey. The preface is by Cardinal Giuseppe Petrocchi, Archbishop of L'Aquila. The presentation is by Emma Zordan, editor of the text. Inside there is a contribution by Ottavio Casarano, director of the Rebibbia Prison.
