This volume collects the interventions of the specialists who spoke at the conference held in Barcelona (November 2019), at the "Ateneu sant Pacià" (AUSP). It represents a good opportunity to approach once again the missionary proposal of Pope Francis and to better understand how Pope Francis is seen from different continents and cultural areas. The objective pursued by these pages is to give answers to the most urgent questions about Christianity today and, above all, to make a good correlation between pastoral and theology, in the conviction that talking about the pastorality of theology, in the sense of a proposal of mission, needs complementarity between these two dimensions. Life and faith, reflection and discernment, pastoral care and theology have reached a stimulating and necessary point of convergence, which gives strength and credibility to the mission of a people moved by the Spirit, a people that lives and manifests the mercy of God, a people that is the incarnated presence of Christ in the peripheries of life.
