Introductions to liturgical times: Guido Marini
This edition of the "Festive Missal" was born from the desire to offer an updated subsidy,
suitable both for personal prayer/meditation and for community celebration, able to
to reach many people and different ecclesial realities.
The "Festive Missal" has some particular characteristics that make it unique.
First of all, the celebrations are preceded by a commentary taken from the words of one of the most recent
Popes: Francis for cycle A, Benedict XVI for cycle B, John Paul II for cycle C and Paul VI for feasts.
VI for the feasts. Scripture and Tradition, listening to God and his Pastors, in fact, are the door to
understanding what the Father is saying today to his Church and to each of his children.
The introductions to the liturgical times were made by Monsignor Guido Marini, Master of the
Pontifical Liturgical Celebrations. His interventions help to prepare the heart to live well the
stages of the liturgical year, so that our time may increasingly become a history of salvation.
Each section is introduced by an image of the mosaics of the "Redemptoris Mater" chapel
created by Father Marko Ivan Rupnik and the atelier of the Aletti Center.
