In this book on the spirituality of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem, the Grand Master, Cardinal Fernando Filoni, reflects on the life project, convictions, values and choices of a Knight and a Lady. "It is the Order itself that gives primary importance to the vocation to holiness of its members and aspires to be an instrument of development and deepening for the spiritual progress of each one in the environment where faith is practiced and lived in its contents," writes Cardinal Filoni in the introduction. Pope Francis, speaking to the members of this Pontifical Institution, urged them to "do not forget that the main purpose of your Order resides in the spiritual growth of its members. Therefore, any success of your initiatives cannot be separated from adequate religious formation programs addressed to each Knight and each Lady, so that they may consolidate their essential relationship with the Lord Jesus, especially in prayer, in meditation on the Holy Scriptures and in the deepening of the doctrine of the Church".
