This document proposes some new developments of the journey of formation proposed by the Ratio Fundamentalis of 1970.The initial formation is divided into various stages: the propaedeutic stage, study of Philosophy or the discipleship stage; the study of theology or the configurative stage, and the pastoral stage or that of vocational synthesis. Guidelines of various kinds - theological, spiritual, pedagogical, canonical – true norms, which mirror those of the Code of Canon Law, and determine more precisely the manner of their application. In this Ratio Fundamentalis, as in the 1970 edition, we find the Ordo Studiorum, which provides a descriptive lists of subjects that must be included during the various phases of the course of studies for seminarians, as part of a wider intellectual formation.
