The volume collects the commentaries written by the Author and published on the column of the “Il Mio Papa” weekly publication to the homilies which Pope Francis pronounces in the morning at the Santa Marthae. Commentaries which might be unnecessary considered the great journalistic attitude of Pope Bergoglio, such a journalistic attitude to make any headline writer of important newspapers envious. However, the need to “personalise” his word, to connect it to one's own familiar, social, psychological and cultural context, remains. The most efficient call is to create an echo, person to person, a word of mouth of the spirit. It is a collection consisting of brief quotes by the Pope enriched with a commentary by the Author as well as with images and captions which give more concreteness to the text or discover forgotten roots. The message of a Pope is always universal. Our ears, our mind and our heart apply it to the situation which we are experiencing. And it is a natural thing. And from his point of view, the Author tried to help this interior work: make subjective an universal call so that it can move other people’s attention on joys and sufferings of which we are protagonists and testimonies.
