L'ARMA MIGLIORE. LA PREGHIERA SECONDO PAPA FRANCESCO

A historical gesture done by Pope Francis in Bethlehem on 25th May 2014, when along the wall which divides Palestinian territories from Israeli ones, in an unscheduled plan he stopped his car and with a bowed head pressed his palm against the barrier, keeping silent for a few seconds. A spontaneous gesture which reminds us about some considerations of his on the power of prayer quoted in this book. His invitation “Pray for me” which he directs to all those he meets, almost as a refrain we are now used to, is only one of the many references to prayer during his four-year pontificate and not always recorded by media. Why? Is it possible that the nature, the meaning, the manners of prayer are topics so uninteresting for people? The pages of this book provide an answer to this and other questions and quote the conversations on prayer among the Author and well-known experts at the Vatican Radio, taking as a reference passages of Francis’ homilies and speeches, often enriched by vivid metaphors, among which that of the weapon isone of the most realistic  metaphors in a world dominated by violence of every kind.
