This volume proposes a path to get to know the Bible, the book of books, in order to make it a useful support for our families. Western society without the "great code" could not be understood; it is the baggage par excellence from which we draw words, gestures, images and the symbols assumed to found the bases of our civil living. The Bible has inspired art and artists and contains the memory and consideration of the reflection on those values at the basis of human concreteness: love and hatred, friendship and fraternity, prejudice and enmity towards God and neighbor.
