Archbishop Agostino Marchetto, Secretary emeritus of the Pontifical Council for the Pastoral care of Migrants and Itinerant People, was born in Vicenza in 1940. He graduated in Canon Law and obtained a license in Theology, then he completed a diploma in Pastoral Theology and graduated at the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy. He was at the service of the diplomatic Corps of the Holy See for more than six lustrums, and later became Secretary of the above-mentioned Pontifical Council. He has always kept alive his love for scientific research, never ceasing to work on it. With LEV he is author of Il ‘Diario’ conciliare di Monsignor Pericle Felici and of its Addendum.
