SCRITTI E RICORDI NEL CENTENARIO DELLE APPARIZIONI DI NOSTRA SIGNORA DI FATIMA

Overwhelmed by incessant and repeated questions about the apparitions and the prophets, about the Message received and about the reasons of some requests formulated in the message, Sister Lucia asked for the Holy See’s authorization, which was  granted, to draft a reading in which she could answer globally to the numerous questions, as she could not answer individually to all the people. This is the reason why this oeuvre was created. It is a long letter, of which Sister Lucia is the Authoress, addressed to all those who had expressed to her their doubts, questions, anxiety, desire for a greater devotion to what Heaven asked in the Cova da Iria. The Authoress lingers over twenty requests, recommendations and calls, which she generally defines «appeals», taken word by word from the famous message and presented with a catechising tone, interpreting them in a moral and exhortative perspective. The book written by Sister Lucia, on which she  had meditated for a long time, dated 25^th March 1997, is an authoritative explanation of the Message of Fatima in its whole, with the aim of helping us to analyse with faith the spiritual importance of the Virgin Mother’s words, with a wide reference to the only and definitive proclamation, that of Jesus’s Gospel, to the message of revelation of which the Mother’s words are living memory, fervent appeal, essential reference point. Mary came to Fatima to evangelise our century.
