► Francesco Miccichè was born inSan Giuseppe Jato, archdiocese of Monreale, on 16 June 1943. After having carried out his presbyteral ministry in various parishes of the archdiocese of Monreale, on 23th December 1988 he was appointed auxiliary Bishop of Messina-Lipari-Santa Lucia del Mela. Nine years later, on 24^th January 1998, he was appointed Bishop of the diocese  Trapani where he stayed until 19^th May 2012.
